  • Postural training and ergonomic changes will also unload the wrist and improve recovery

Our Physiotherapists are experienced in the effective treatment of wrist and hand injuries and painful presentations.

We will accurately diagnose your presenting symptoms and the underlying causes.  Many bones and structures are in the hand and wrist making diagnosis imperative.  Common presentations are strains and tendonitis of multiple tendons and overuse or overloading from weights for example. If wrist pain does have underlying osteoarthritis, despite these joint changes being present we can still often achieve excellent results, resolving symptoms and regaining function. Carpal tunnel syndrome is another presentation that we can treat and often avoid surgery.  However in some cases a surgical consultation is required and we will arrange this for you in conjunction with your Doctor and achieve optimal recovery with you post-operatively.
